This database contains references out of the field "Traffic Engineering, Performance Analysis of Systems and Networks" published in journals, conferences, workshops, books, etc. There are also entries from adjoint fields such as switching technics, statistics, etc.

QLD started as a national german initiative. It emerged from a database maintained from 1979 at the Technical University of Aachen (Chair for Electrotechnics and Teleprocessing, approx. 1600 entries), a collection from the University of Stuttgart (Institute for Communication Switching and Data Technics, 300 entries) and some literature collections at Philips Kommunikations Industrie AG, Nürnberg (1200 entries). Further contributions came from the University of Würzburg (Chair for Informatics 3), the University of Braunschweig (Communications Systems Lab.), Bosch Telecom Frankfurt, University of Dortmund (Institute for Electronic Systems and Switching), University of Saarbrücken, School of Engineering Lübeck, University of Massachusetts and Dansk Technical University, Lyngby.
